Who is responsible for the site
Data24 is published by its founder and editor-in-chief, Alon Trifonov. He is responsible for this page and for the data the site receives about its readers. Questions about data, and requests to exercise your rights, are answered at alon@zyntari.com.
What the site measures, and why
Published pages run Google Analytics 4, a page-view counter that shows which articles are read and on which kinds of device. Consent settings are set before the counter loads. Advertising signals (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) are denied everywhere and always. Analytics storage (analytics_storage) is denied by default in 32 countries: the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Google's own documentation states that while that storage is denied, Google Analytics cookies are not written, are not read from the device and are not used, and hits reach Google Analytics without a cookie. Elsewhere that storage is allowed, and Google Analytics then writes its own first-party cookies in the browser (_ga and _ga_ with the stream id), by default for two years, to tell visitors apart and to keep session state. The counter reaches the production build only: it is in no preview build and in no local one.
Cookies and consent
The site itself writes no cookie at all: there are no accounts, no sign-in and no preferences stored on your device. There is no consent banner, because in the countries whose law asks for consent before measurement the analytics storage is denied by default and the counter runs without a cookie. Where that storage is allowed, the only cookies are Google Analytics ones, and the measurement can be switched off from your side.
Who processes this data
The counter's data is processed by Google as a measurement service provider. The pages are served by Cloudflare: the site runs on its network, so every page request passes through it and it sees the IP address and the request headers, which is how a page is delivered at all. Cloudflare also adds its own web analytics script to the pages your browser receives (static.cloudflareinsights.com/beacon.min.js). It measures page loads for the site owner and does not appear in the site's source. Cloudflare's documentation describes that measurement as follows: it does not collect or use personal data about visitors, it collects minimal information, meaning timing metrics, it does not track individual users across the sites of Cloudflare customers, and it does not record the query string.
How long it is kept
Google Analytics data is kept no longer than the period set on the property: for an ordinary property Google offers 2 or 14 months, so no more than 14 months. Cloudflare keeps the unsampled data of its own script for seven days, by its documentation, after which an aggregate remains. Mail you send us is kept as long as it is needed for a reply and for the corrections record.
What the site does not collect
The site has no accounts, no sign-in and no comments. The newsletter form on the home page has no submission address today: an address typed into it is sent nowhere and stored nowhere, and the form replies that signup is not open yet. Advertising signals are always denied: the site shows no advertising, runs no remarketing and sells no reader data. Site search runs in your browser against an index built in advance. Links to Telegram lead to a third-party service with rules of its own.
Your rights
You can ask for access to the data we hold about you, for its correction or deletion, and you can object to the processing. Write to alon@zyntari.com and we will reply in the language you wrote in. You can also switch the measurement off from your side, with a script blocker or with Google's official Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The counter's data is not identified and is not linked to your name, so we cannot tie it to a particular person; a deletion request is carried out in what we hold ourselves, and we report what was done.
